The world's first — and only — Soju Artist. FUNNYJUN (Kim Wanjun) has spent over a decade archiving Korea's drinking culture and turning it into contemporary art: exhibitions, street performance, music, dance, games, and collaborations across the globe.
And yes — he knows exactly how to drink soju. Do you?
Not a distiller. Not a sommelier.
An artist who found an entire culture
inside the green bottle everyone ignored.
In Korea, drinking together is an act of consideration.
한국에서 함께 술을 마신다는 것은, 배려한다는 것이다.
Everyday gestures nobody thought to define — drawn, numbered, and archived into art. What K-pop did for Korean music, FUNNYJUN is doing for the Korean drinking table.
The signature series: how to drink soju, from sitting down to setting the glass back. Every Korean knows it. No one had ever written it down.

Seoul, Bangkok, Hanoi, Vientiane, Kamakura, Madrid — wherever the green bottle lands, the same thing happens: strangers copy the gestures, laugh, play the games, and end up at one table. This is what a FUNNYJUN exhibition looks like.

소주는 어떻게
내 마음을 알까.
"How does soju know my heart?"
Black horn-rimmed glasses. A green cap. A wide, instant smile. FUNNYJUN looks at what everyone sees and no one notices — the abandoned, the ordinary, the overlooked — and gives it a frame. Whisky talks about whisky. Soju talks about you.

Wine has libraries. Whisky has academies. The world's best-selling spirit had almost no cultural guidebooks — so FUNNYJUN wrote them. 알랑말랑 소주 탐구생활 (Alangmalang Soju Tamgu Saenghwal, 2021) came after eight years of research, and was revised and retitled 슬기로운 소주생활 (Seulgiroun Soju Saenghwal, 2026). The English edition followed the same year — published as HOW TO DRINK SOJU in Korea and as HOW TO DRINK SOJU Like a Korean internationally — with 200+ original illustrations. As seen on Netflix's Soju Rhapsody.

Readers around the world — every copy signed with a question: "Care for a glass of soju?"
